I can definitely say that 2017 went out with a bang!
I had the pleasure of photographing Andrew + Heather’s big day on New Years Eve last year! That is so weird to say considering that was only a couple days ago! The day started out very relaxed while Heather and her mother got ready together in the farmhouse on the venue property. Once Heather was in her dress, we ventured out to meet Andrew on the bridge in the subzero temps for their magical first look. We managed to survive sunset photos for roughly 40 minutes (let’s be honest, we kept going inside to warm up and the went back out). After surviving the freezing weather, we had about an hour of down time before family photos and capturing the details of the ceremony and reception areas. After the family photos, Andrew + Heather were hidden away in the reception area while their guests took their seats. Little did their guests know how special their ceremony would be. Noah, Andrew’s son was invited up for a special prayer among the 3 of them. For Andrew, Noah comes first. Always. While he felt like he was asking Heather to take on a lot, he admired her patience and grace. The day that Andrew introduced Heather to Noah was one he will never forget. They were going on a hike and next thing you know Heather and Noah are up head and left Andrew trailing behind. You could say that everything was going to work out perfectly. Which takes us back to present day. Now a family <3
Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
