Way back, circa 2014-2016, I was still very new to photography and no idea what else went into this career. At the time I was communicating with clients through email, on the phone, texting, my photography Facebook page, and my personal Facebook messenger. That was so way too many places to to try and keep everything organized. I didn’t start sending contract out until the end of 2014 and had no idea what was a necessity to have in it. I would send my clients the contract through email which was made on Jot Form.
In February of 2017 I saw an ad on Facebook for a client management software but he name of Dubsado. When I started the trial I did not have any sessions booked. I then decided to purchase the software to get to know it better and I started off paying $15 a month. After slow season (winter) was finally over, I started to book up and see how much Dubsado was about to change my business for the better! I built up so many different contracts since on Jot Form you can only have 5 contracts with the free version. And believe it or not, Jot Form at the time was more expensive than Dubsado which has way more features than just contracts.
Through Dubsado you can send emails, contracts, invoices, do book keeping, and much much more. It is so relieving to be able to do everything in one spot! One of the best parts about the company is that their customer service is absolutely amazing!! They respond in a very timely manner (just know that they are on the west coast). I also love that they will help you get up and going when you sign up and give you a tour of the system.
Now onto the benefit of the client…. Dubsado launched a feature last year that allows the client to see their contracts, invoices, and emails all in one portal!! I can not even begin to tell you how many of clients have responded with praise on how everything is delivered to them! Another plus about the portal is that the client can see everything from other jobs instead of a new portal link per job.
Within the trial you are able to set up 3 clients as a test to see if you like it! If you decide that you are ready to better your business and purchase Dubsado, here is my code for 20% off: jadenikkole or you can follow this link here: https://www.dubsado.com/?c=jadenikkole

Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
