Back in December of 2015, I met Josh and Dara the day after Nick and I moved to Maryland! Flashback a few years to 2013, Nick and Josh were in tech school together. I actually met Josh for the first time on Skype when I was on with Nick 🙂 It was so exciting to know someone here in Maryland before we even got here and I could not be happier that it was Josh and Dara. Our second night in Maryland was spent with them exploring Annapolis and finding our favorite restaurant, The Iron Rooster! Fast forward to last summer when I got a text from Dara asking about wedding package information and you can not even imagine how much of an honor it was that they wanted me to capture their special day!
On my birthday last year, June 20th, Josh proposed to Dara in front of the Eiffel Tower at sunrise with their friends and family just off to the side to witness this life changing moment. Major brownie points for Josh here… Now after 5 years of being together, Josh and Dara are MARRIED!!
One of the most touching moments of the day was right after the father/daughter dance. Dara had no idea what was about to happen. About halfway through the song, the DJ announced one by one, everyone who has made an impact in her life to dance with Dara. It was so beautiful and sentimental! <3 Scroll through the images to see the moments captured from this very special dance.

COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
What is the first thing an engagement photographer thinks of when a client says they want to do their photos in Washington DC? Sunrise. Daily I go back and forth between whether or not I like sunrise or sunset better. I have to say though after Julie + Jordan’s engagement session, I prefer the lighting […]
