Being a newborn photographer takes a whole lot of patience and bunches of love (sometimes a little baby fever helps…). For those who don’t know, I am more than just a wedding photographer. I didn’t photograph my first newborn until about 2 years after I started and I wish that I would have started them sooner. I have developed a love for newborns but do not care for doing the posed shots. I prefer to go to my clients and photograph them where they spend most of their time.
Hustin and Michelle welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Declan Hayes, on July 23rd, 2018. Declan was like an angel during his newborn session! Up until his session, I had never had a baby sleep like he did!! He had a few little fusses here and there but that is why I set aside at least 2 hours for newborn sessions. Declan made my job as a newborn photographer so easy! Here are just a few (really hard to choose…) of my favorite photos!

Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
