While shooting this session yesterday, it reminded me of when I was younger and wanting to go to Disneyland/Disney World to see each and every princess!
Emma has been obsessed with princesses since I met the Cutiyog family back in 2016. I thought about doing this shoot last summer but with all of my traveling conflicting with Kelly and Emma’s traveling, we ran out of time before winter came. While Kelly and I were doing things around the house yesterday the thought came back to mind. It was almost 70 degrees out and it was the only nice day for at least the next few weeks. Kelly and I quickly jumped up, rounded up all of her princess dresses and accessories and ran a couple errands to get a few extra things that we needed.
When we picked Emma up from school we told her we had a surprise for her but she had to wait until we got there to find out what it was… And oh my, she kept guessing what it was and was getting very impatient. Once we got there and we showed her what we were doing, she was jumping up and down and could not stop smiling! She decided to dress up as Merida from Brave, Rapunzel from Tangled (twice!), Anna from Frozen, Moana from, well, Moana (lol), and Elena from Elena of Avalor.
I hope you enjoy these images as much as we do! We had so much fun dressing up and reliving our childhood through Emma! <3

Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
