Last year I did a family session at the Minnesota State Fair and this year I got to do an engagement session! I had planned the session with Maddie and Gabe about a month ago and not too long after Gabe proposed! At fist I was kinda bummed that he didn’t do it at the fair but I am still happy that we got to show off Maddie’s new bling during the shoot.
We started off with playing some carnival games and bumper cars. I think out of everything we did, the bumper cars and the sky glider are my favorite! Going down the Great Slide was definitely a contender for 3rd. We enjoyed some Sweet Martha’s cookies and sang our hearts out at the great sing along. It was so much fun capturing the start of this next chapter for Maddie and Gabe!

Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
