Throughout my entire career of being a newborn photographer, I finally got the opportunity to photograph a full motherhood journey here in Kaiserslautern. It’s really hard to describe how much this entire process has filled my heart with joy and how honored I feel. Although I don’t think I will specialize in birth photography, I would love to still offer them once we get back to the states. All 4 of these took place within a 5 week timeframe and it’s crazy how much their lives have changed.
I learned so much about a woman body and how unpredictable birth is. I won’t go into detail but I ended up spending 14 hours at Landstuhl Regency Medical Center with the Morales family. Although things did not go as planned, Levi Alexander Morales arrived into the world on October 17th, 2019 at 4:05am. I came back just shy of 48 hours later to capture some in hospital photos before Josh and Caryn brought their baby home as a family of 3. About a week and a half later, Levi slept through his entire newborn session!! It was a miracle!
Before you scroll down to see all of my favorite images from Levi’s newborn session, I have to give a big shoutout to my Shutter Lover babes for all of the support with photographing my first birth. I went live in our Facebook group in a mii manic because I had no idea what to expect. I received a lot of guidance and I am so thankful for them. <3 Josh + Caryn, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a special chapter in your lives. I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I am and I have to say, parenthood looks greta on you both! <3

Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
