I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my..
Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on my way and it took about an hour to get there. Throughout the shoot I started talking to each model more and more and I clicked with Anna right away! While we were walking back to our cars, Anna and I talked about doing another styled shoot together.
Instantly a friendship was born and I can’t thank that shoot enough for introducing me to one of my absolute best friends here in Maryland. Since Anna and I started shooting together, we have done countless sessions all throughout Maryland, New York, and even in Canada. I have learned so many new techniques while photographing all of these styled sessions with her. We have done a wide range of sessions from pajamas to glam at the Lincoln Memorial, casual look to a high end, dressy, and timeless outfit.
During this quarantine and lack of current sessions to edit, I have been going through old galleries and re editing. As I was going through all of Anna’s sessions over the last 4 years, I noticed what poses we used every time I photographed Sam + Anna together! There are so many repeats and I love seeing the progression in the poses and my editing. Below you will see my favorite poses with Sam + Anna { Lifestyle by Anna Elizabeth: Instagram / Facebook / Website }. When you are finished scrolling through these engagement session poses, I would love to know which pose is your favorite!

Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]

One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
