I had the honor of being the photographer for a family friends wedding at the beautiful 7 Vines Vineyard that is located in Dellwood, Minnesota. I could start off by telling you about the wedding day but I am actually gonna give a little back story.
I met Ashley and her family back when I was probably 9 or 10. Somewhere around that time frame. My aunt and uncle live down the street from the Peter’s family. My aunt and uncle had a boat on the St. Croix and that was where we got really close to the Peters. We spent almost every weekend out there. At the time, my family only had a speed boat and did not stay out on the islands like they all did. Then in 2005, my parents upgraded the boat and that’s when we got to know the Peters even more.
Flash forward to this year, I got photograph Ashley’s wedding. To me, there is a big difference between photographing a wedding for someone you versus someone you don’t. The wedding feels more sentimental and you feel even more connected. I got to attend this wedding not only as a photographer, but also as a guest. I am so thankful that Zack + Ashley trusted me to capture their wedding. Scroll to find the highlight images from their wedding day <3

Ashley received this beautiful bracelet from her sister Isabell to wear on the wedding day <3

Ashley knew that Zack had a surprise gift for her but she didn’t know what or when she would get it. After their first look, Zack surprised her with her wedding band that was not supposed to get in on time. It ended up coming the day before. Just in time for the big day.

There’s something so special about photographing a family as they welcome a new baby — especially when that baby is their first son after two sweet girls! This session with the Impeduglia family was full of love, laughter, and those perfectly imperfect little moments that make at-home sessions so meaningful. Rather than a traditional nursery […]

Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]

COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]

A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]

I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]

One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
