I can not even begin to explain how much on an honor it was to capture Bethany and Colbie’s special day back home in Forest Lake, Minnesota. Bethany and I have known each other since the 6th grade and you can not imagine how much it meant to me that she wanted me to photograph this big chapter in her life.
The day began in a little motel in Forest Lake where Bethany got ready with her mother, Sandy, her maid of honor, Jenni, her junior bridesmaid, Lexi, and her flower girl, Jade. Her full name is Jaden but it was so cool to be around another Jade; although at times it was confusing because when they called for her, I always turned around.. After Bethany was in her dress, we headed down to the lakefront park to do her first look with Colbie. There was not a dry eye between myself, Bethany, and Colbie. When you see the photos below, there is a chance that you will tear up at his reaction to his stunning, soon to be bride!
I am so thankful that I got to be apart of their day and I wish both of them nothing but the best. I can not wait to see where marriage takes them 🙂
Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
