Being a family photographer in the KMC area is such blessing. Especially with a castle like Burg Lichtenberg being within 30 minutes from the Kaiserslautern Military Community. There are many castles within an hour drive of this area but Lichtenberg is hands down my favorite one. Every time I go exploring around the castle grounds I find a spot and say, “This would be a perfect corner for a family.” or “This is a great backdrop for a family photo.” Let’s be honest, that’s how I am wherever I go exploring here in Germany.
When Romina and Dino’s Family showed up looking like they were straight out of a fairytale, I knew the session was going to be one of my best yet! We had beautiful lighting coming through the trees, perfect weather, and plenty entertaining conversation amongst us. What you don’t see is my husband endlessly dancing to Baby Shark in the background to get Victoria to smile lol. We shared a lot of laughs from running around the castle and in the fields to Victoria twirling around in her princess dress.

Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
