Moving to Germany, not going with my husband right away, staying in Maryland for an extra 2 months, getting stuck in NYC, and then finally starting my next adventure.
Although being away from my husband for 2 months was hard, I am so thankful for the sessions and friends and family that I got to see and hang out with before I moved across the pond to Germany. I have seen many castles and been to Dublin, the Amalfi Coast, Paris twice, Interlaken, Cologne, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, went to the top of the Zugspitze, Venice, and will be checking even more off my list next year! I had collaborated and worked with almost 100 businesses to photograph their products. I have met so many new photographer friends and photographed some amazing families and couples. We are coming up on almost one year here in Germany and have had a few guests come visit whether they were passing through to another base or friends coming from the states. While I went back to the states for a visit and for photography, I went to Williamsburg for the first time to see Anna and Sam, went to the Minnesota State Fair twice and did an engagement session, went to the lake, and hung out with some friends I haven’t seen in awhile. While in MD, I also got to hang out with my niece (not blood), see my best friends and take some maternity photos for Missy and her husband! I tried my best to narrow done which images to use but it was harder than you can ever imagine!
Biggest accomplishment: Shooting for the cover of Military Spouse!
Thank you for an amazing year!!
Is there anything better than a maternity session on the beach…? (Hint: the answer is no…. lol) I vividly remember the day that Anna told me she was pregnant. I was just leaving base in Germany and pulled over since she was calling me on video. To say I was in disbelief is an […]
COVID-19 has definitely changed a lot this year in so many ways from how we style and celebrate milestones to how we socialize with friends and family. This past week Chandler asked me for some ideas of how to capture her birthday which just so happened to be the last day of her lock in […]
A little backstory before product photography came into my life… I started really getting into photographing other people when we were in Florida in 2015. We then moved to Maryland in December of 2015 and that is when my business grew. I had regular clients, weddings, second shot a lot of weddings, and finally began […]
I remember how terribly inconsistent I was with poses during an engagement session back when I started photography and my oh my.. Do you remember Anna? Back in July of 2016 I was invited to a styled shoot by a friend 30 minutes before it started. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on […]
One thing I have learned from this quarantine (as a family photographer) is that there is always more work that can be done to work on your craft. Even if that does not include shooting. I am going back through older sessions and came across this session with my best friend Natalie of Natalie Grace […]
If you are stationed in Germany, you have most likely been to Burg Lichtenberg at least a handful of times. This is one of my favorite castles to go to for family sessions. The kids love to run around and play and the adults can really take in the scenery around Burg Lichtenberg. Going to this […]
